Funny you should ask... Sweet Soda has a new little somethin' somethin' and we are excited to share it with you.
This past weekend the Sweet Soda executive committee met over a home cooked family meal (Which included homemade pasta sauce made from the Tomatoes in Mom's garden - Yumm!) to discuss Product Development. After dinner and a few hours of playing with the "Boss" (a.k.a our CNC Router) we came up with a mini product that we believe is more representative of our product line... All that to say, we created a bigger mini. These Mini's have a slightly larger square inset (3X3 vs. 2X2) and is created on a 3/4 inch sheet vs. the existing mini's that are created on 1/2 inch. When compared side by side, they each have their own unique style and we love them both. Instead of replacing the Mini's with this new larger frame, we have decided to just add it to our existing line up.
As you can imagine, this left us with the incredible task of naming a bigger mini. Lots of names were tossed around .... A close contender was the Chunky Mini but then we didn't want her to have a complex. In the end it made the most sense to change the name of the existing smaller mini to "Ornaments" and the new larger frames will take the name "Mini's". I promise the initial confusion will be worth it in the long run.

We all have a story. Women's cancers touch each and every one of us weather it be your Mom, Sister, Friend, Daughter or yourself personally. There are so many amazing efforts underway to fight these horrible diseases and Sweet Soda is honored to be donating prizes to this years Hope and the City event in Niagara falls Ontario.

Have you been in Michael's lately? I walked through the door and straight into an isle of Christmas ribbon.... yeah, i was a little surprised since I thought I might even be early to see the fall decorations. Further in there were Hay bales, scarecrows and pumpkins; the smell of Autumn leaves and cinnamon filled the isle.
Fall is without a doubt my favorite time of year. I love wearing knits, having bon fires and going apple picking. Pulling out the flannel sheets, lighting candles and baking. I decorate with Wheat and gourds and fold knit blankets on the back of the couches so everyone will feel cozy. I think you get the picture... I fly my Fall freak flag proudly.

The Minis have arrived!!!
Our BOGO sale was a huge success. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers! Over the course of 2 weeks we cleared out enough stock to make room in the shop for our newest family members. I'll be honest, while they were running it was hard not to take a gazillion pictures and share them with you guys.. Patience is a virtue I do not possess! I rushed to get some of them primed and painted and ready for their big debut.
About the Minis
Each Mini comes with the fiber board backing and a hanging ribbon (material shown in the inset is not included). They are available in the Izzy, Benjamin, Pandora and Newt. All of our designs are the same as their grown up style with the exception of the Newt who's inset has been centered vs. offset. The dimensions are as follows:
Izzy and Benjamin have a 2X2 opening
Pandora has a 2X3 opening.
Newt has a 2.5 inch opening
Mini's are $10 CDN each and are available in any of our options. We know some people are using these minis to match existing decor so please advise us at the time of your order if you would like the ribbon attached or provided separately.
